MLW Women's Featherweight Championship Match Announced For The Wrestling Showcase

Taya Valkyrie will defend the MLW Women's Featherweight Championship at The Wrestling Showcase.

As announced on Busted Open Radio, Valkyrie will put the title on the line against Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green. The challengers are the reigning IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Champions. They defeated Valkyrie and Rosemary to win the gold at IMPACT Wrestling Emergence. The three women often compete on IMPACT programming, but they remain active throughout the wrestling world.

Valkyrie became the inaugural champion by defeating Holidead at MLW Kings of Colosseum. She successfully defended the title against Brittany Blake at MLW Battle Riot IV. Outside of MLW, she holds several other titles, including the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship. She will aim to win the NWA World Women's Championship when she challenges Kamille for the title at NWA 74. More information is available here.

The Wrestling Showcase will emanate from The Hyatt Regency in Schaumburg, Illinois, on September 3. The event will be headlined by a one-night, eight-man tournament to crown the first-ever Wrestling Showcase Champion. More information about the show is available here.
