There has been a lot of buzz circling around Rob Gronkowski in the WWE since his WrestleMania 33 appearance, which you can watch above. Gronk helped his good friend Mojo Rawley win the Andre the Giant Battle Royal and has been a presence in the WWE since then.
Gronkowski made his most recent appearance this last Tuesday night on Smackdown Live and provided another assist to Mojo during his match against Jinder Mahal. Gronk threw a beer in Jinder's face which helped lead to Mojo's victory over Mahal.
Naturally, there has been speculation on if Gronk will ever join his Hype Bro in a WWE ring.
Mojo talked about it with TMZ Sports, and from what he says, it seems like "Gronk the WWE Superstar" is a thing that could happen eventually, but not anytime soon.
"Gronk's focused on his career right now and, you know, he's been training real hard, and yeah he's been having a little bit of fun with us for the past couple of weeks but he hasn't let that take away from his NFL career, from the Patriot's, so he's staying focused."
Mojo is still optimistic about his friend someday joining the WWE.
"We don't want to rope him in too far, cause you know, he's really in the zone right now. But hey, you never know what the future's gonna hold"
Gronkowski, 27, is the All-Pro tight end for the New England Patriots, earning his second championship ring this year despite being out with an injury at the time of Superbowl LI. Gronkowski's contract goes through 2019 and he will become a free agent in 2020.
