Molly Holly On Potentially Competing In 2023 Royal Rumble: I Told WWE That I'd Need Some Notice

Molly Holly comments on potentially competing in the 2023 Women's Royal Rumble Match.

Molly had a memorable run with WWE from 2000-2005. Since then, she has made sporadic appearances, and the former WWE Women's Champion was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021. She subsequently returned to the company as a producer. Molly has also been in three Women's Royal Rumble Matches, including the 2022 edition.

During a K & S WrestleFest virtual signing, Molly was asked about potentially competing in the upcoming Royal Rumble Match. She responded by noting that she told the writing team she'd need some notice so she could properly prepare. The WWE Hall of Famer then stated that she hasn't heard anything about it yet.

“I told the creative writing team that if I do have to be in it, I need some advance notice because it hurts to go from not doing it for a long time and then getting thrown in there. So they have not given me any notice as of yet, and it’s getting close to that time, so they better tell me soon if I am gonna have to be in it," Molly Holly said.

Molly went on to describe how WWE once only gave her six days' notice ahead of a Rumble match. When asked about her preparation process, Molly detailed how she gets ready to return to the ring, and she joked about doing plenty of crying.

"The least amount of notice they’ve ever given me for a Rumble is six days. I go to the tanning booth, try not to get too burned. I go buy rub-on tan, I bleach my teeth, dug through past outfits to see if I can bedazzle them or somehow jazz them up because there’s no way I can find a seamstress in that amount of time and do a lot of crying [laughs]," Molly Holly said.
