Montez Ford Says He Doesn't Talk With Angelo Dawkins About A Singles Run, Focused On Being A Team

Montez Ford isn't focused on a singles run at the moment.

While many fans consider Ford to be the breakout star of the Street Profits and he got an opportunity to go one-on-one with Roman Reigns on the September 29 episode of WWE SmackDown, Ford's goal remains staying committed to Angelo Dawkins and the Street Profits to chase tag team glory.

"The crazy thing is, me and Dawks don't really speak about it," Ford told Peter Rosenberg on Cheap Heat when asked if he talks with Dawkins about splitting. "At the current time, we are a tag team and that's our goal right now, be the greatest tag team of all time and win the tag team championships, but, ever since I was a little kid, that big title is what I wanted. That's a huge mindset and goal for everyone. That's the goal you should have here. You want to be the man. It's something we don't really speak about, but we kind of know the motivation where if a draft happens and he gets separated and one of us gets that chance to hold up the title, obviously that's where the support comes in because you want to see everybody win. Nobody wins when the family feuds."

When asked if they knew about possibly being split in the 2021 WWE Draft, Ford said, "No. We don't know anything. When it's on the internet, that's where we go at."

The Street Profits were drafted as a team to WWE Raw during the Draft. They were victorious over Alpha Academy (Chad Gable & Otis) on Monday's Raw.
