Moose: Having To Make New Friends If I Go To A New Company Is A Factor In My Decision-Making

Moose says having to make new friends if he goes elsewhere is a factor in his decison-making.

Moose has been with IMPACT Wrestling since 2016, and he has been a featured member of the roster throughout his time there. He held the IMPACT Grand Championship twice, and he won the IMPACT World Championship in 2021. Moose later dropped the title to Josh Alexander at IMPACT Rebellion 2022.

Since then, he has continued to compete on IMPACT programming. Given his successful run with the company, Moose was reportedly been on WWE's radar when his contract was previously coming up, and he even stated he was about to go there before IMPACT re-signed him. Fightful Select recently reported that Moose's contract could be up in June 2023.

Speaking on The Undisputed Podcast with Bobby Fish, Moose and Fish discussed having friends in wrestling and the way it's easy to fall out of touch with people when one goes to a different company.

"I had a short run with Ring of Honor, and that’s where I met you, and some of the other great guys there. All of the guys that was in my close circle in Ring of Honor, like yourself and Roddy and Jay Lethal, I don’t talk to as much. Once in a while we’ll send texts and back and forth, but it was a point where I saw you guys literally every weekend.

Fish responded by noting that wrestling is a weird business, as a month goes by without seeing people one used to see all the time, and then a year will pass without having seen those people. Moose then stated that he's scared about going to a new company and making friends because he is shy. He noted that this concern is part of his thought process and his decision-making when it comes to potentially leaving IMPACT Wrestling.

"That’s also my big scare with ever going to a new company, going somewhere and making new friends. I’m really shy when it comes to getting to know people and being cool with people. I’ve always been shy, so every time it comes to leaving IMPACT, that’s always a big factor in my decision-making, if I go somewhere else…It’s definitely in my thought process," Moose said.
