Mustafa Ali Returns To In-Ring Action At WWE Live Event In Minneapolis; Wrestles Daniel Bryan

Mustafa Ali is back in action.

SmackDown Live star Mustafa Ali returned to in-ring competition last night at a SmackDown house show in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mustafa went one-on-one with the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and those in attendance expressed their excitement on social media about Ali's return:

The once-"Heart Of 205 Live" last wrestled at a WWE house show on February 10th. Fightful reported the following day that Mustafa Ali was being pulled from the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match at the 'Elimination Chamber' pay-per-view due to injury. It was noted within the report that Mustafa was working through a tailbone injury that he re-aggravated at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view and another injury was piled on when his eye became swollen-shut after taking a boot to the face from Randy Orton during their match on SmackDown Live.

Mustafa Ali's injuries opened the door for what has been dubbed as "Kofi Mania". Kofi Kingston replaced Ali in the Elimination Chamber match and with the fans' support, he earned a WWE Championship match against Daniel Bryan at 'Fastlane' but this past Tuesday on SmackDown Live, Vince McMahon removed Kofi from the match and swapped him out for a returning Kevin Owens.
