MVP talks about future business matters.
MVP is trying to reunite The Hurt Business again on WWE Monday Night Raw. MVP is also still the manager of The Nigerian Giant, Omos. However, The Hurt Business remains a central focus of the former WWE United States Champion at the start of 2023.
In a recent interview with Z100's Josh Martinez on the Superstar Crossover podcast, MVP revealed that he has several dream matches in mind for the group should they ever reunite, including the dominant Bloodline led by Roman Reigns.
"I’d really like to get The Hurt Business back together and as a faction, there are so many talented people [he'd like to work with]. I’d love to get The Hurt Business vs. The Bloodline, would be spectacular. Bobby and Roman, The Usos with Shelton and Cedric, me and Heyman on the mic, I think that’s a dream matchup. The Judgment Day, I think we’d have some phenomenal work," MVP said.
Furthermore, when asked who he wants to work with in the future, MVP singled out the brash duo of Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams as an act that he is very fond of from WWE NXT. MVP believes that Carmelo has character traits similar to his character from when he first debuted in WWE in 2006.
"There’s a young man down in NXT who, unless you’re watching NXT, you might not be familiar with him but a young man named Carmelo Hayes and Carmelo and Trick [Williams] are a couple of guys, they’re pretty tight. I always say Carmelo reminds me of a young MVP; the presence, the swagger, the confidence, and he’s somebody I would like to work with in the future, hopefully," he said.
MVP had previously worked with Carmelo Hayes while trying to rehab and get back into ring shape following a knee injury. Learn more about that here.
While MVP did not mention any future plans for Omos as it pertains to a reunited Hurt Business, WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart once told Fightful that he would like the opportunity to manage The Nigerian Giant
