Following the March 19th edition of SmackDown Live, it was made official that Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Naomi and Carmella would compete in a Fatal 4-Way to determine Asuka's opponent at WrestleMania 35. It was reported exclusively here on Fightful by Sean Ross Sapp that halfway through the day, plans changed and the four way was canned and replaced by a SmackDown Women's Title match between Charlotte Flair and Asuka that Charlotte emerged victorious from.
Charlotte is now set to walk into the main event of WrestleMania 35 with the SmackDown Women's Championship around her waist in hopes of defeating Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey to obtain the RAW Women's Championship for a fifth time.
