Natalya said her dad didn't want any of his daughters to wrestle.
Natalya lets fans know all the time that she is a Hart and part of the family dynasty in professional wrestling. She was recently interviewed by The Sun and was asked about growing up learning to wrestle alongside her family. She talked about wrestling with her cousin Harry Smith in her grandfather's basement and her relationship with her father. Natalya said her dad was not approving of her wrestling until after her first match.
“He was very protective. I have two sisters and he didn't want us in the ring. When he was competing, there wasn't a prominent women’s division. He came from a different era and he didn't want us to get hurt," said Natalya. "Females become more dominant in WWE with Trish Stratus and Lita, but it wasn't until he saw me have my first match… he’s been my biggest fan ever since,” she added.
Natalya appeared ringside on Sunday's Extreme Rules pay-per-view as she escorted Nia Jax to the ring.
