WWE Raw has been on Netflix since January 6th and viewership information have been consistently posted on Netflix's official Tudum website.
The rankings show the top ten shows for the week, where WWE Raw has placed each week, along with total views and watch hours.
Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics noticed that the calculation for total views and watch hours differs for WWE Raw compared to other top ten shows. Thurston notes the formula for views is "Views = hours viewed × runtime (in hours)," but for WWE Raw, the calculations don't always add up.
Netflix gave the following comment to Thurston when asked about viewership calculations for WWE Raw.
“This is a matter of the runtime changing live versus on SVOD,” referring to viewing on-demand, sometime after Raw has aired live. “For live titles, we show the latest runtime on our Top 10. As an example, the January 6 premiere is listed as 2.4 hours long on Tudum (and on the product today) but was even longer live because of ads. When calculating Views, we implement a ‘Blended Views’ approach which calculates views for each individual cut (with its own runtime), and then takes the sum total."
