And new.
The city of Queens, New York is currently rejoicing, as The Acclaimed have captured the AEW World Tag Team Championships from Swerve In Our Glory. The Acclaimed were able to beat Swerve In Our Glory after Billy Gunn hit a famouser on Swerve Strickland on the outside of the ring, prompting him to roll Strickland back in the ring. Caster followed this up with his signature Mic Drop elbow drop for the three count. This was Bowens and Caster's second chance to win the belts that they originally failed to capture back at the All Out pay-per-view.

This win marks the first time that The Acclaimed have held gold in All Elite Wrestling. Both Caster and Bowens made their debut with the company in late 2020. The title win is also significant because it means that Anthony Bowens is AEW's first ever openly gay champion.
Swerve In Our Glory originally won the titles back on July 13 after defeating The Young Bucks and Team Taz in a three way tag match. During their reign, Strickland and Lee successfully defended the belts on three separate occasions.
