WWE and 2K unveiled the new footage at the Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase on Monday morning. In the footage, Mauro Ranallo introduces the action as Kofi Kingston, Big E, Cesaro, and Asuka react/play a fatal four-way bout featuring Andre The Giant, Steve Austin, Jeff Hardy, and John Cena.

In April it was confirmed that there would be no WWE 2K21 game this year as WWE 2K20 received poor critical reviews and was plagued by issues. Instead, 2K Battlegrounds was announced, bringing an arcade style gameplay to the franchise, similar to WWE All-Stars.

The game will feature over 70 WWE Superstars and will be available on PlayStation4, Xbox One, Windows PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia.
