- Edge and Daniel Bryan met in the ring at the start of SmackDown. Bryan says that he respects everything Edge has done over the course of his career and thought he would appreciate the fact that he created an opportunity for himself. Edge replied by saying, "You're better than this, but you're not better than me."
- The Street Profits, Dominik and Rey Mysterio defeated Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, Otis and Chad Gable in an 8-Man Tag Team Match on SmackDown.

- WWE teased tension between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso. Paul Heyman was seen guarding the Tribal Chief's door and didn't allow Main Event Jey to enter. Uso lost a Steel Cage match to Daniel Bryan last week, which earned Bryan a Universal Title Match at Fastlane.

- Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler took Reginald suit shopping. There was a classic trying-on-outfits montage, too. Nia offered to pay for everything. Reginald asked how he could ever repay her before some insinuating music started playing and the skit ended.

- Seth Rollins attacked Cesaro during his match with Murphy, causing a disqualification. The Messiah continues to fume over the Cesaro Swing he suffered last week, as well as the Swiss Cyborg's general hesitation to embrace Seth's vision. After the attack, Rollins came face-to-face with Cesaro's tag team partner, Shinsuke Nakamura.
- Sami Zayn wants Kevin Owens to be a part of his documentary. Owens says that he'll think about it.

- Edge spoke with Jey Uso backstage, asking him why he's being a lap-dog to the big dog. Uso got defensive and told Edge to remember whose show he's on and fall in line.

- Tag team partners at Fastlane and opponents at WrestleMania, tensions between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair escalated on Friday Night SmackDown.

- Natalya and Tamina picked up the win over Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair. Reginald served as a big distraction on the outside of the ring. On commentary, Nia Jax said that they are in a situationship, also calling him her bae.
- Big E made his return to Friday Night SmackDown, calling out Apollo Crews, saying that he is going to maim him. Crews never responded, so Big E issued an open challenge for his Intercontinental Championship. After arguing with King Corbin, Sami Zayn would answer the challenge.
Big E would retain his title but was attacked by Apollo after the match.

- Sasha Banks will defend her SmackDown Women's Championship next week versus Nia Jax.

- Jey Uso will face Edge next week on SmackDown, with the winner becoming the special enforcer for Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan's match at Fastlane.
