Nia Jax: Going From NXT To Main Roster "Like Going From High School To College"

Nia Jax calls transitioning from NXT to Raw is like going "from high school to college."

Jax was on "Talk is Jericho" where she discussed the differences between wrestling in NXT and wrestling on Raw, among other topics. Jax said in her time at NXT, planning matches was not just something the wrestlers were involved in, but also included the input of the coaches and producers down at WWE's Performance Center.

WWE United States Title Match Added To Friday's WWE SmackDown

Comparing NXT to WWE's main roster, Jax said there is a notable difference in terms of planning matches and that there is a smaller margin of error on the main roster.

"We had a luxury down there in NXT. If I knew I was having a big match with Bayley, we would go to the Performance Center, we have our producers or coaches like Sara Del Rey, Matt Bloom, Robbie Brookside, Norman [Smiley] helping us put these matches together. Their minds are helping us mold these matches together. It was like this comfort blanket. In NXT, you're in this cozy, little blanket and then you're out here [on Raw or SmackDown], it's like graduating from high school to college. You're on your own, you can't mess around," Jax said.

Jax has been a part of Raw since the 2016 WWE Draft after being in NXT since 2014. The full podcast can be listened to at this link.
