Moose and The System threw almost everything at Nic Nemeth in an attempt to wrestle the TNA World Title out of his hands at TNA Victory Road. Still, thanks to a vengeful Mike Santana and a Lariat-happy John Layfield, the only thing that Moose took home was another L.
When JDC and Alisha Edwards first tried to interfere, and Moose was looking to use the physical TNA World Title belt on the champion, Mike Santana, who is also currently feuding with The System, would take the belt from Moose and brawl with JDC so that he was neutralized.
When the newly-crowned TNA World Tag Team Champions Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards tried to get involved, the former John Bradshaw Layfield, who had previously confronted Nemeth at TNA Emergence, came down and threw some old-fashioned Lariats, knocking out Myers in Edwards.
This left Nemeth alone with Mose. Both men were on top of their game. Still, the former Dolph Ziggler hit the move formerly known as the Zig Zag and secured the victory.
