Nic Nemeth: I Would Love To Get One More Match With Hiroshi Tanahashi Before He Retires

Nic Nemeth comments on potentially returning to NJPW.

Nic Nemeth had a brief run in NJPW earlier in 2024. He made his in-ring debut at The New Beginning in Sapporo, where he beat David Finlay to win the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship. He later defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi at NJPW Wrestling Dontaku Night One. Nemeth has not wrestled for NJPW since he lost the title to David Finlay at NJPW Wrestling Dontaku Night Two on May 4th.

On October 3rd, Nemeth answered some questions from fans on Twitter/X. When asked whether he had any plans to go back to NJPW, he said that he loved his time there, and he would love to face Hiroshi Tanahashi before the legend retires in 2026.

As of this writing, there is no word on when or if Nic Nemeth will return to NJPW.

Nemeth will defend the TNA World Championship against Joe Hendry at TNA Bound For Glory on October 26th.
