A different story for Cody Rhodes.
On the October 13 episode of WWE SmackDown, Nick Aldis made his WWE debut as the new general manager of WWE SmackDown. Near the end of the show, Aldis had to break up a confrontation involving Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.
Aldis and Rhodes have a long history, including a match at All In when Cody won the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.
Appearing on Busted Open Radio, it was suggested to that if Cody were to win the WWE Championship, he should give Aldis a shot at the belt.
“I will say, Cody and I, [our] rivalry, chemistry, story is sort of undeniable. He knows where I am., and I know where he is, and never say never," said Aldis.
After losing the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title to Cody at All In, Aldis would regain the title at NWA 70.
