Nick Khan: John Cena's Merchandise Sales Are Still Off The Charts Despite Heel Turn

John Cena shocked the wrestling world at WWE Elimination Chamber when he betrayed Cody Rhodes and sold his soul to The Rock.

Despite mixed reactions throughout his career, Cena maintained his "Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect," and "Never Give Up" attitude to be the ultimate babyface for the better part of a decade on top of WWE.

Though Cena is no longer a babyface, her merchandise sales has remained strong according to WWE President Nick Khan.

"Here's what I thought was interesting about that whole process, number one, John Cena's merchandise still off the charts. Top of the show at every event or almost every event. The collective decision to make the heel turn; Triple H, Cena, Dwayne Johnson, Cody, everyone immediately on board with the whole thing," Khan said while speaking to Bill Simmons on the Bill Simmons Podcast.

Cena is set to challenge Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE WrestleMania 41 Sunday.

Elsewhere during the interview, Khan commented on not benching talent. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
