Nick Khan: We Think NBCU Would Be Supportive Of More Blood In Third Hour Of WWE Raw

WWE has considered making changes to the third hour of WWE Raw, according to Nick Khan.

At WrestleMania 39, Finn Balor battled Edge in a Hell in a Cell match that had a brief stoppage as Balor was busted open by a ladder and had to be checked out and worked on by doctors. Balor required multiple staples to close up the wound.

Speaking on LightShed Live, Nick Khan was asked about the incident and if WWE might ever lean back into more "blood and gore" with the upcoming merger with UFC.

"Specifically talking to the 10 to 11 hour on Raw, it's a three-hour program, 8 to 11 every Monday. Specifically, talking to NBCU and among ourselves about, 'what do we do with that moving forward?' Love where the product is now, but if you ask Triple H and ask others, 'If we tweak this, a little more of that,' what does that do to that 10 to 11 PM hour? It is basic cable, it's not broadcast, we think NBCU would be supportive, but we're not anywhere near a final conclusion on that. It's definitely a conversation point," he said.

WWE introduced the 24/7 Title and other production changes in May 2019 to reportedly add something extra to the third hour of Raw.

Elsewhere during the interview, Khan discussed superstar pay in the WWE. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
