Nick Wayne has a new mentor now.
The feud between Christian Cage and Darby Allin reached a new high at AEW WrestleDream, as Cage defended the TNT Championship agains Allin in a Two Out of Three Falls Match in the main event. Allin scored the advantage early on when he used Cage's turtleneck against him and pinned him for the win. Cage also took his eye off the ball when he tried to flirt with Nick Wayne's mom at ringside, but she eventually threw a drink in his face.
Cage brutally slammed Allin onto the steel steps and won the second fall via countout when Darby was unable to get back in the ring. The champion kept up the attack as he dove onto Allin while doctors were trying to stretcher him away. Cage exposed the bare board of the ring and hit a Killswitch, but Darby kept fighting. Allin hit a Coffin Drop to the outside, but Cage kicked out.

Cage knocked out the referee with a Spear when Darby got out of the way. He tried to use the TNT Championship, but Nick Wayne stopped him.
Wayne then blasted Allin with the title, and Cage pinned the challenger to win the match.

Christian's celebration was crashed by the debuting Adam Copeland, as he made the save when Cage, Wayne, and Luchasaurus beat up Allin and Sting after the bell.
