Nick Wayne: If The TNT Title Ever Falls Out Of Christian's Hands, I’d Be Happy To Get It Back For Him

Nick Wayne says that he'd be happy to win the TNT Championship... if Christian were to lose it.

Wayne aligned with Christian at the WrestleDream pay-per-view, turning his back on Darby Allin, Sting, and Adam Copeland in the process. Since then, Wayne and Luchasaurus have practically been right hand men for Cage, who is desperately trying to fend off Allin, Copeland, & Sting.

In a recent interview with ROAR Around The Ring, Wayne was asked about the possibility of focusing on a championship in AEW. In response, the 18 year old star noted that he would win the TNT Championship back for Christian Cage if it were to fall out of his hands.

“It peaks everyone’s interest at the world title, cause that’s obviously number one and everybody wants to be number one. So that’s obviously a big goal for the future, but I feel like maybe a more realistic one — I don’t want to take it out of the hands of Christian Cage, but if it were to fall out of his hands, I’d be happy to retrieve it back. I want to keep it on his shoulder but if he were to lose it, I’d bring it back.”

Wayne, Cage, & Luchasaurus are set to face the trio of Sting, Darby Allin, & Adam Copeland at the upcoming Full Gear pay-per-view. Fans can learn more here.

Cage's reign with the TNT Championship currently sits at the 55 day mark. Throughout his reign, Cage has defended the belt against the likes of Bryan Danielson and Darby Allin.
