Nigel McGuinness Says He'll Try To End Bryan Danielson's Career If He Shows Up To AEW Dynamite Grand Slam

On Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, Nigel McGuinness convinced Tony Khan to allow him to face Bryan Danielson at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.

Nigel's pitch came after Jon Moxley told Darby Allin that Danielson wouldn't be at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, and got Allin to agree to face him at the event. Allin was originally scheduled to challenge Danielson for the AEW World Title at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.

On AEW Collision, Nigel explained that Moxley speculated on Danielson's condition, and when he learned Danielson was without an opponent, he made his appeal to Tony.

ROH footage of Danielson vs. McGuinness matches aired with Nigel saying that they were bitter rivals 16 years ago. Nigel said that no one has beaten Bryan like he has. "No matter how much success he's had in his career, he is still haunted by the memories of facing me in the ring."

Nigel said he's in the best shape of his life and if Danielson shows up to Arthur Ashe Stadium, he will try to end his career. "The ball is in your court, Bryan."

If Danielson is cleared to compete at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, the AEW World Title will not be on the line. Fans have not heard from Danielson since he was suffocated with a plastic bag by Jon Moxley at AEW All Out.
