NJPW Announces Hirooki Goto Has Been Diagnosed With A Damaged Medial Collateral Ligament

Hirooki Goto remains sidelined.

NJPW previously announced that Hirooki Goto sustained at injury at NJPW Destruction in Kobe on September 24, and he was not cleared to compete at the events on September 25 and September 26. In the announcement, NJPW noted that there was no timetable set for Goto's return as he was undergoing assessment.

In an update, NJPW announced that evaluation for Goto led to the diagnosis of a damaged medial collateral ligament. The announcement noted that Goto will remain absent for the remainder of the Destruction tour.

Goto is one-half of the IWGP Tag Team Champions with YOSHI-HASHI. The duo defended the titles against TMDK (Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste) at NJPW Destruction in Kobe.
