New Japan Pro-Wrestling is officially back.
NJPW held a special press conference on Monday night announcing their plan to return to live events. The promotion will officially return on June 15 with and event titled "Together Project Special," which is a mystery card event.
On June 16, the New Japan Cup will begin. This year, the New Japan Cup will now be an openweight tournament. Due to travel bans, only wrestlers currently residing in Japan will be able to compete.

New Japan Cup Finals will be July 11 at Osaka-Jo Hall. The winner will challenge Tetsuya Naito for both the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Titles at Dominion at Osaka-Jo Hall on July 12.

There will be no audience for the New Japan Cup. Audience will be at 33% capacity for the Osaka-Jo Hall events on July 11 and 12. All events will stream live on New Japan World.
It was also announced that the July tour in Hokkaido has been canceled.
