Number One Contender For AEW World Championship Decided At AEW Full Gear 2021

The AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament has come to an end.

At AEW Full Gear, Bryan Danielson faced Miro in the finals of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament. Bryan got to the finals by defeating Eddie Kingston, while Miro replaced Jon Moxley after it was announced that he was entering an inpatient alcohol treatment program.

Both men came close on numerous occasions to finishing the match, but it was Danielson who emerged victoriously after hitting an avalanche DDT followed by a guillotine choke. With his victory, The American Dragon is now the number one contender for the AEW World Championship.

Bryan Danielson now has a record of 9-0-1 in AEW. His one draw came at Dynamite: Grand Slam where he wrestled to a 30-minute time limit draw with Kenny Omega.

Omega is set to defend his AEW World Championship later tonight against Adam 'Hangman' Page.
