The news is on on the status of Shane Thorne, and it isn't good.
On the most recent episode of WWE NXT, it was announced that Thorne would miss 7-9 months recovering from knee surgery.
News of Thorne's injury broke earlier this month, and the January 18 episode of NXT included an injury angle with The Revival as the perpetrators.
Thorne was part of TM-61, one of the top tag teams currently in NXT, along with fellow Australian Nick Miller.
Before signing with WWE in 2015, Thorne and Miller had two reigns as GHC Tag Champions for the Japanese promotion, Pro Wrestling NOAH.
The injury has thrown Thorne's partner, Nick Miller, into limbo. The duo already was due to have their gimmick repackaged according to a report by The Wrestling Observer earlier this month, and Miller has not had a match for NXT since his partner got hurt.
Thorne, meanwhile, is already at work recuperating, sending out this tweet on Tuesday:
