After one hour of action, there is still no new NXT Champion.
Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole, and Finn Balor battled for 60 minutes in a fatal four-way Iron Man match to determine the new NXT Champion, but the bout ended with no winner.
The Iron Man match was tied at 1-1-1-1 entering the final minute when Balor scored a pinfall victory with just 15 seconds remaining. Balor thought he had the victory secured, but Cole wiped him out with the Last Shot, and scored the three-count in alignment with the clock counting down from three.
With Balor and Cole both having two victories in the match, NXT General Manager William Regal declared that the two men will meet on the September 8 episode of NXT. The person who scores the first fall in the match will become the new NXT Champion.
