Oba Femi won the NXT Championship at NXT New Year's Evil, defeating Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe in the main event.
Though Oba wrestled and won in the main event, he did not close the show. The closing segment was reserved for The Rock, who praised the energy of the NXT crowd and said NXT was the show fans wanted to be at.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Oba was asked about The Rock seemingly taking his moment.
"At the moment the time was being stolen from me, I wasn't even aware it was being stolen from me. Maybe if I knew, I would have gone up to him and been like, 'Hey, Uncle Dwayne, what are you doing?' I'll let it slide this time, but next time Uncle Dwayne comes in and steals time from me, there are going to be problems," said Oba.
Strong words from a strong man.
The replay of NXT New Year's Evil will air on Saturday, January 11, head-to-head with AEW Collision. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
