In recent years, WWE has branched out and hosted Premium Live Events in international locations like Germany, Scotland, France, Australia, Puerto Rico, and Wales. The events have been received very well by fans, with some even stating that the events have hosted some of the best crowds in WWE history.

While chatting with Scott Johnson of the Going Ringside podcast for a new interview, former NXT North American Champion Oba Femi said that he'd like to see WWE bring a PLE to Africa, as he believes the market has been unexplored for years.

"I would love to see a PLE in Africa. I feel there is a market there that has been unexplored for years. We have had live shows go to South African, but it’s much bigger than just South Africa. I feel the entire continent is riding hard for WWE. Once we tap into that market it’s going to be unbelievable. It’s not going to be an easy thing to do because there is going to be a culture shock, the fear of the unknown, and all these other factors, but once we can weather that storm and reach that market, oh my God, I’m talking one of the hottest crowds the company has ever seen. They would go ballistic for their king [referring to himself], but they would go ballistic for everything for the product.

Femi went on to say that he'll bring up the idea to the company once he gains respect and equity.

"Once I gain the equity, the respect, and credibility to bring up such a topic, I will."

Elsewhere in the interview, Femi talked about possibly sharing a ring with Gunther. Click here to learn more about those comments.
