ODB names her favorite people to work with in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling and looks back on working with Eric Young.
ODB was one of the top stars in TNA's Knockouts Division. She won the Knockouts Championship four times, and she also captured the Knockouts Tag Team Championship with Eric Young. She later returned to the company in 2021.
In an interview with Just Alyx, ODB was asked to name her favorite opponents in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling. She pointed to The Beautiful People, Awesome Kong, and Gail Kim.
"In TNA, all of us came from the independent scene. Kong came from Japan. The Beautiful People. Traci Brooks. It was just so cool because we were all so different but we were a team. It’s not about one person or two people. It’s about this whole division and that’s what kept us strong. I loved working with the Beautiful People because we were so opposite. It was so easy. Their characters were fun and we did some fun stuff. It was kind of a night off. Also, working with Awesome Kong was great because I had always been the bigger girl. So having someone whoop my ass was fun. Then Gail Kim always made me step up my game. She is one of the best. A very technical wrestler and has a great mind for wrestling. She got me out of my comfort zone a lot. Which I loved," ODB said.
The veteran was also asked to share her thoughts on working with Young, a memorable run that included the duo getting married on IMPACT TV. She noted that they winged it and often cracked each other up in the process. She also joked that, now that she's getting married in real life, she'll have to divorce Young.
"It’s funny because when they first put us together they had no idea what they were doing. But, with our chemistry, we just winged it. They didn’t write anything for us. They gave us bullet points. Get this done, talk about this. Then we would just crack each other up. He’s hilarious. And we would just go off. We were just being awesome! When they told us we were getting married, we wanted to make sure it was not just another wrestling wedding in the steel cage. So he and I were like, ‘man need to make this good.’ We had Sarah Stock and Thea Trinidad come out. It was perfect. I loved it but, now that I’m getting married in real life, I need to divorce EY. So I'll be sending him some papers soon. Haha," ODB said.
In the same interview, ODB discussed potentially working with WWE. You can check out here comments here.
