Oleg Boltin and Taichi advance.
At the NJPW Soul Event on July 3, Oleg Boltin and Taichi won semi-final matches in the NJPW G1 Climax 34 Qualifying Tournament. Boltin scored a major victory by defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi, while Taichi defeated TJP. Boltin will face Taichi in the tournament finals at the NJPW Soul event on July 5. The winner will be the final entrant in B Block for the NJPW G1 Climax 34 tournament.
Boltin previously defeated Toru Yano, while TJP beat Satoshi Kojima to advance to the next round.
The A Block Qualifying Tournament is down to Callum Newman and YOSHI-HASHI, who will face each other in the finals on July 5.
With Tanahashi's loss, he will miss the G1 Climax for the first time since 2001.
