Tommaso Ciampa: Four Or Five Years Ago, Johnny Gargano And I Didn't See A DIY Reunion Coming

Tommaso Ciampa is having fun on the main roster.

Ciampa and Gargano have cemented themselves on the Raw brand as of late, picking up wins over The Creed Brothers and The Judgment Day. The duo reunited in October 2023 after not teaming together for over three years.

While speaking to Fightful for a new interview, Ciampa noted that neither him or Gargano would've seen a reunion coming four or five years ago.

"Yeah, yeah. Obviously he went away when he had his child. I had a set back injury just as he got back. So that’s so typical of DIY. You think we’re gonna go one way and then obstacles take us a different way. It’s interesting that we finally got back to this point ‘cause I would say if you asked us four or five years ago, this is not something we saw coming. So to do it again on the main roster and build it the same way inch by inch has been pretty fun."

Tonight on WWE Smackdown from Toronto, DIY takes on A-Town Down Under for the WWE Tag Team Titles.

Elsewhere in the interview, Ciampa reflected on his previous doubts that he wouldn't get to compete at WrestleMania. Learn more here.
