Orange Cassidy Says Jake Roberts Has Been Very Helpful To Him In AEW, Given Him A Couple Of Moves

Orange Cassidy speaks on Jake "The Snake" Roberts giving him advice backstage at AEW.

AEW is not only a home for the new stars of wrestling, but also has given a new lease on life to many wrestling legends. Jake Roberts is one such legend who has found himself in a position to help the stars of the present and future and he is doing his best to impart wisdom, not only to Lance Archer, whom he works with on TV, but to a familiar foe of Archer's, Orange Cassidy.

The Young Bucks Say AEW Is Too Chaotic, Will Now Be Working From Home

Speaking on the Under The Ring podcast, Cassidy speaks on how Jake has helped him and how he uses Jake as an influence on his own character.

"I have talked to Jake a lot. He is very, very helpful, and he actually gave me a couple of moves, but then Lance found out about us and Lance beat the hell out of me," Cassidy joked. "Jake is — the way he would talk in front of the camera, the way he would move in the ring was so unique. You can't think of anybody else that did it that way. So, I don't think I lifted anything of what he did, but I definitely understood what it took to stand out."

Cassidy also praised the work that Jake is doing now even though the promos are much shorter, calling Jake one of the most underrated wrestlers ever.

"Even now, Jake is cutting promos while walking to the ring that are 20 seconds long, and every single word is so impactful. I mean, we all know Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, but to me, he's one of the most underrated wrestlers in professional wrestling."

Orange Cassidy will perhaps look to tap into the callous and calculated side of Jake Roberts when he wrestles John Moxley for the AEW International Championship at AEW Full Gear 2023.
