Ortiz wants to explore the wrestling world.
Throughout his time in AEW, Ortiz has taken part in some of the biggest matches in AEW history. From being involved in the very first Stadium Stampede match in 2020, to being an integral part in the Blood & Guts match between the Jericho Appreciation Society and the Blackpool Combat Club, Ortiz has quietly become of the biggest parts of All Elite Wrestling's short history.
Even while being a full time competitor in both AEW and Ring Of Honor, Ortiz has also managed to keep a steady career going on the independent scene as well. In a new interview with WhatCulture, Ortiz was asked to give his opinion on the Forbidden Door in wrestling and all of the working relationships that AEW has.
“I personally want to take advantage of all these working relationships we have, with New Japan, with NOAH, with DDT, stuff like that. Going back to Mexico, doing some AAA stuff. So, I like playing both ends. I’m a very even person, so I can do both, but there will be moments where I have a fire lit underneath my ass and I wanna do something more. Finding that spot and finding that balance, people have to navigate it, not just in wrestling but life.”
Ortiz last wrestled for AAA in 2019 alongside Santana in a tag team match against The Lucha Bros. Ortiz last competed for AEW/ROH on the April 6 edition of ROH TV.
