Ortiz Would Like To See Marko Stunt Get More Opportunities In AEW: He's Our Spike Dudley

Marko Stunt is often on AEW television as he accompanies Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus to the ring, but rarely does he wrestle.

If Stunt does compete, he can be found on AEW Dark or AEW Dark: Elevation in relatively short matches.

Ortiz would like to see Marko get more in-ring opportunities in AEW.

"He gets featured, but they don't let him wrestle nearly enough. If you've seen his Indie stuff, Marko, there is potential there for him to have amazing matches," Ortiz said during a virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest.

When questioned about Marko being singled out to get more opportunities, Santana defended his tag team partner by saying, "Wrestling is something that allows you to suspend your disbelief."

Ortiz added more color to his comments by saying, "Personally, if you kind of see what he can do more and put him in those situations where he can really flourish, I feel like it's been very minimal in AEW and booked the right way, it would be great. He has a lot of fire and can do a lot of cool stuff. He's a wild man. He takes bumps off the apron. He's like our Spike Dudley. He's entertaining to watch and when Spike got any kind of offense, the fans were behind him."

Stunt last wrestled on the July 26 episode of AEW Dark: Elevation, losing to Angelico. He did tape a match for an upcoming episode of AEW Dark at Universal Studios.

Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
