Ohio Valley Wrestling is set to air their 1000th episode this Wednesday, Oct. 10.
For their landmark event, the company announced that they've partnered with FITE.tv to air the event. The event begins streaming at 7:30 p.m. ET and costs $9.99.
Fans who tune in will see a tournament to crown a new OVW Champion. The tournament will feature Hurricane Helms, Billy Gunn, Tommy Dreamer, Abyss, Crimson and more. Other names expected to appear include OVW founder Danny Davis, Mick Foley, Jim Cornette, Al Snow, Ken Anderson, ODB, and Victoria.
OVW used to serve as the developmental territory for WWE and helped produce top stars such as John Cena, Brock Lesnar, and Randy Orton.
"It's known as the lifeblood of professional wrestling, and we supply, and proudly continue to supply, the next generation of superstars in this worldwide entertainment phenomenon," said Al Snow, chief executive of Gladiator Sports Network, told WDRB. "Over those 1,000 episodes, our alumni, at least 160, have been on WWE's main roster."
Gladiator Sports Network purchased OVW in April 2018. Back in September, the company announced a partnership with Top Notch Boxing.
