Pat McAfee Wants A Match Against Triple H, Comments On Triple H Pushing Him On NXT

Pat McAfee might have some unfinished business with Triple H.

Back when McAfee’s rivalry with Adam Cole reached a point where McAfee punted Cole, leading Triple H to furiously shove the former NFL star multiple times. Speaking to Corey Graves on the “After The Bell” podcast, McAfee was asked who he would like to face next. McAfee immediately went to the moment Triple H pushed him and said he’s not sure how he feels about that moment.

“You know. Triple H pushed me pretty hard at that NXT arena didn’t he? He did, didn’t he? That first push was like, ‘Okay. He’s trying to back me up.’ The second push was like, ‘Excuse me pal.’ We’ve had conversations since then, obviously, to handle the business of the match [against Cole], but I’m thinking deep down inside there whenever he was pushing me, there must have been a thought of, ‘If this guy falls down on his ass, I’m completely okay with it.’ I don’t know how to feel about that. I don’t know how to feel about that,” McAfee said.

McAfee faced Cole at NXT TakeOver XXX in August, when Cole emerged victorious. Despite this, Triple H spoke on the post-show media call, giving both McAfee and Cole nothing but high praise for their match and for McAfee wanting to take this match seriously.
