Slammiversary will have an unique match in an intense feud.
Over the past weeks, Sami Callihan and the rest of OVE have been feuding with Pentagon Jr and other luchadores and sometimes targeting the masks of those wrestlers.
On this week's Impact Wrestling, there was footage from a PCW match shown where Callihan and OVE removed the mask of Pentagon after a steel cage match.
This inspired Pentagon to challenge Sami Callihan to a Lucha de Apuesta with the wager of Callihan's hair versus Pentagon's masks. Callihan accepted the challenge and Impact Wrestling announced the match on Twitter for Slammiversary XVI.
Callihan and Pentagon are both 1-1 in Luchas de Apuestas and Callihan beat Pentagon in 2016 in a similar match which was for Callihan's hair or Pentagon's Championship.
