Pete Dunne has earned a title shot.
On the August 28th episode of WWE Speed, Je’Von Evans faced Pete Dunne in the semifinals of the WWE Speed #1 Contender’s Tournament. Evans rocked Dunne with a kick early on. He kept rolling with a dive to the outside and a springboard crossbody. Dunne fired back with a German suplex. Dunne floored Evans with a powerbomb for a two-count.
The two competitors traded blows. Dunne drilled Evans with a forearm and stomped his fingers. Evans rallied with an acrobatic kick. Dunne caught Evans and snapped his fingers. He then hit the Bitter End to clinch the win.

With the victory, Dunne earned a shot at the WWE Speed Championship. He will challenge Andrade for the WWE Speed Championship on the August 30th episode of WWE Speed.
Dunne previously beat Julius Creed and Joaquin Wilde to advance to the semi-finals. Evans defeated Ashante "Thee" Adonis in the opening round and had a bye in the second round due to a time-limit draw between Montez Ford and Austin Theory.
