Peter Avalon loves how silly wrestling is.
Peter Avalon has been with AEW since 2019, and he continues to compete on ROH programming. He has also worked for Championship Wrestling From Hollywood and other promotions.
Speaking with Emir on the Power & Glory podcast, Peter Avalon responded when Emir noted that fans had to suspend their disbelief in wrestling, and the Wyatt Sicks were brought up as an example.
“I love it when they do that in wrestling. I love it when it’s complete bullshit. I love it. I loved Undertaker being magic, I loved Kane being able to control hellfire. I love that silliness in wrestling. I love that level of fantasy. I do. I love it 100%. It’s great. It has its place in wrestling because it’s just fun. Wrestling is stupid at the end of the day. It’s so silly. I mean that in the best positive way because that’s why I fell in love with it. It’s so stupid. Most stuff I like, I feel…it’s a level of stupid, and it’s done well. It’s fun, it’s campy, and it’s fun," Avalon said.
