PJ Black will be sticking around ROH as he has signed a new multi-year contract with the promotion Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider first reported the news. Johnson reports that an official announcement should be coming shortly and that Black's previous deal had recently expired. Black, who worked in WWE as Justin Gabriel, originally signed with ROH in February 2019.
Black said at the time that he also had an offer from WWE to go to NXT, but decided to take the ROH deal as WWE can't keep promises that they make and he preferred the creative freedom given to him by ROH. Black produced/promoted the first-ever Slamforce Africa event in October 2019, wrestling Rob Van Dam in the main event.
He last wrestled for ROH on Jan. 12 at Honor Reigns Supreme, teaming with Brian Johnson in a triple threat tag team match against Dalton Castle & Joe Hendry and The Briscoes (Jay & Mark Briscoe)
He is not currently scheduled to wrestle at ROH's next event, Free Enterprise on Feb. 9.
