The main event of the March 5 show will be Lio Rush taking on Rocky Romero in a qualifying match.

The other qualifying match will pit THE DKC against Tom Lawlor. Also announced for the March 5 event is Karl Fredericks & Alex Coughlin against Clark Connors & Kevin Knight.

From NJPW:

The main event of the day was the "NEW JAPAN CUP in the USA 2021" qualifying match, where Rocky Romero vs. Lio Rush was realized. Rush, who first appeared on the New Japan Matte in last year's "SUPER J-CUP", showed his physical ability to the fullest even though he lost to Phantasmo in the first round.

Rush, who lost to Phantasmo in the rematch the other day, wants to break into the top front in this "NEW JAPAN CUP in the USA 2021" qualifying match.

On the other hand, Rocky, who plays an active role as the main character of "NJPW STRONG", aims to participate in the tournament for the first time by defeating the "new face" rush. The clash between two junior warriors who are proud of their outstanding ability is inevitable. Who will win the tournament?

NJPW Strong: Road to Strong Styles Evolved airs at 10 p.m. ET on Friday, March 5 on NJPW World. Fightful will have results from the event following its conclusion.
