Randy Orton: I Don't See Anyone Breaking My 'Youngest World Champion' Accolade

Randy Orton made history at WWE SummerSlam 2004, defeating Chris Benoit to win the WWE World Heavyweight Title at the age of 24.

Orton became the youngest WWE Champion in history, taking the accolade from Brock Lesnar, who was 25 when he won the WWE Heavyweight Championship in 2002.

Speaking to Bill Apter of WrestleBinge, Orton praised Austin Theory as an upcoming talent, but noted that he doesn't think anyone will break his accolade.

"As far as someone becoming the youngest world champion and taking that from me, I don't see that happening. Only because I think it was a very special circumstance when I became the youngest world champion. I was 24 years old and I don't know if there is anyone young enough to make it to that yet. I think I'm going to hold that for quite some time," he said.

Elsewhere during the interview, Orton commented on the creative change in WWE. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
