In a vicious Street Fight at NXT TakeOver: Portland, Dakota Kai defeated Tegan Nox with the help of the debuting Raquel Gonzalez, formerly known as Reina Gonzalez.
Tegan Nox and Dakota Kai beat each other silly with laptops, chairs, chains, and more. Tegan Nox was firmly in control, but before she could finish the job, Raquel Gonzalez cam from the backstage area to act as Dakota Kai's guardian angel.
Gonzalez would slam Tegan through a table from the top rope with a vicious double-handed Chokebomb.

Before this point, the only major appearance Gonzalez had made on television was during a former Mae Young Classic tournament.
While it initially appeared that Gonzalez would have no relationship with Dakota, she would later come back to the ring in order to raise a hand of Dakota Kai in victory.
