It was a case of easy come, easy go for Daphanie LaShaunn in Vancouver.
September 24, 2022, was a memorable night for WWE Referee Daphanie LaShaunn.
The former Aja Perera couldn't resist the rush of the crowd and the allure of championship gold as she quickly pinned Nikki ASH to become WWE 24/7 Champion for a moment in time during an event in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She was even able to successfully defend the title as she kicked out when her fellow referee, Shawn Bennett tried to pin her and count his own fall.

Ultimately, she lost the title quickly as Nikki pinned her right after that and quickly lost the title back to the woman who entered Vancouver with the title, Dana Brooke. However, Daphanie made history once again later that night as she refereed her first ever WWE Universal Championship match, which saw Roman Reigns successfully defend against AJ Styles.
#WWEVancouver gave me so many memories I’ll always hold close! I reffed my first Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match.----I still have a ways to go, but having these opportunities let’s me know I’m heading in the right direction. I will be THAT girl---- and that’s on #RefBae pic.twitter.com/QJJ6TXXxGV

This is not the first time that the WWE referee has held singles gold wrestling as she was a former SHINE Nova Champion during her wrestling career.
