The latest update on Adam Cole.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that Adam Cole was pulled from this weekend's NXT Midwest tour due to an injury. In Thursday's injury update from WWE Now, Cole was listed as "questionable" with a radius fracture. Cole was injured on the Sept. 25 episode of NXT as a result of Matt Riddle's fujiwara armbar.
Cole was advertised as making an appearance at NXT events in Missouri, Iowa, and Mississippi.
Cole had been sporting a cast leading up to Wednesday's episode of NXT. He hasn't wrestled since Aug. 24 when he battled Bronson Reed at a live event in Tampa. Cole only wrestled four times in August and only twice following his two-out-of-three falls bout against Johnny Gargano at NXT TakeOver: Toronto on Aug. 10.
Despite being pulled from live events, Cole is still scheduled to defend the NXT Title against Matt Riddle on the Oct. 2 edition of NXT. Cole addressed the match in a recent social media post, where he also showed off his cast.
