AEW and WarnerMedia announced AEW Dynamite will be extended through 2023, with the deal reportedly being a four-year deal worth a total of $175 million. The deal reportedly as an option on the fourth year, with a "significantly increased price."
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer first reported the terms of the deal.
As reported in the press release put out by AEW and WarnerMedia, not only is AEW Dynamite receiving an extension, but a new series is set to launch. Details on the new series were not given and it's not guaranteed that the show will be on TNT. WarnerMedia is the home of TBS and TruTV along with HBO Max, the OTT streaming service set to launch in May.
Meltzer reports that the Wednesday night tapings will expand once the new series launches and there will be "four hours a week of AEW." AEW Dynamite airs live on Wednesdays from 8 to 10 p.m. ET on TNT. Before and after the show, matches are taped for AEW Dark, which airs Tuesdays at 7 p.m. ET on YouTube and runs for one hour.
