A new report is suggesting that WWE could return to Australia for a major event.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that the state government of Western Australia is currently negotiating with WWE to run a major stadium show in the country. The report notes that the deal could be similar to the deal that WWE made with Melbourne back in 2018. Meltzer also states that the event will likely be held in Perth, which has hosted the UFC 284 event back in February. That event was held in the RAC Arena, which has capacity of 15,000 people.
WWE has not visited the country of Australia since 2019. As previously noted, WWE hosted the Super ShowDown event in Melbourne, Australia back on October 6, 2018. That event was held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and had an announced attendance of 70,309 people.
After WrestleMania 39, WWE will host three straight premium live events in international countries. WWE Backlash on May 6 will take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico. WWE King & Queen Of The Ring on May 27 will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and WWE Money In The Bank on July 1 will take place in London, England.
