Bobby Lashley couldn’t build his WrestleMania match against Aleister Black as he was reportedly quarantined following a trip to South Africa.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer first reported the news of Lashley’s quarantine. Lashley traveled for South Africa on a promotional tour for the upcoming live event tour, which ended up being postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Lashley was scheduled for the Mar. 16 episode of WWE Raw.
It was not confirmed if Lashley has already taped his match against Black.
On Monday, Mar. 23, WWE announced that Lashley would be taking on Aleister Black at WrestleMania 36. The two had not been feuding on television and the match was billed as simply “two men looking for a fight.”
Rey Mysterio and Dana Brooke are also reportedly quarantined, which led to WWE having to shuffle the WrestleMania card.
The biggest change to the WrestleMania card came on Thursday night when it was reported that Roman Reigns would not be challenging Goldberg for the WWE Universal Title as he is immunocompromised and didn’t feel comfortable wrestling in the current environment.
Fightful will continue to update fans on any changes in the WrestleMania card as they are known.
