CM Punk and AEW are reportedly in negotiation for a contract buyout.

Punk was suspended following AEW All Out where he got into an altercation with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) following his disparaging comments towards the trio at his post-show press conference.

Omega and the Bucks were also suspended for their roles while Ace Steel, who reportedly bit Omega and threw a chair at Nick Jackson, was reportedly released.

Punk won the AEW World Championship at AEW All Out, but was injured in the match and it is unknown when he would have returned from the injury.

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp noted regarding a contract buyout, "There were suggestions from people close to AEW almost immediately following Brawl Out that CM Punk would eventually get a buyout. I don't know that it was in the works that far back, but a lot of people saw that as a likely scenario."

Fightful will continue to update fans on the fallout from AEW All Out when more is known.
